Dr. Michael Osit is a practicing psychologist with over 40 years of experience working with children/adolescents/families/adults/couples.  Dr. Osit is a frequent presenter, using an infotainment format, to psychological, educational, and parenting organizations both locally and nationally on a wide variety of topics.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Osit is the author of “Generation Text: Raising Well Adjusted Kids In ,An Age Of Instant Everything,” (Amacom, 2008) awarded “Best Book of the Year” by Instructor Magazine, and was one of 5 finalists out of 440 books reviewed for the 13th Annual Books For Life Awards in the category of Parenting.

 

His most recent book is entitled, “The Train Keeps Leaving Without Me: A Guide To Happiness, Freedom, and Self-Fulfillment,” (Creative Publishing, 2016).  Dr. Osit also writes a monthly health psychology column called, “Mind the Mind,” in a New Jersey publication, and has had a strong media presence appearing on local, national, and cable TV shows.  Additionally, he has been interviewed in the print media for magazines such as Parenting, Women’s Day, Better Homes & Gardens, Self, and Parade.
